Mir zaynen do tsu zingen! [We're Here to Sing!]

I wrote Mir zaynen do tsu zingen! as a musical mission statement for Di Goldene Keyt, The Yiddish Chorale, but the published version also works for any chorus singing in Yiddish. This is a translation:

We’re here today to sing for you. We’re singing music both rhythmic and rich; and all in Yiddish, the language of the Jewish heart, with songs both beautiful and tender. In our songs lives the pride of our people and tradition. We’re here to bring this heritage to your hearts through our voices. We hope you enjoy our harmonious gift. Perhaps you like our song. Who are we? We’re here today to sing; the Yiddish word should sound loud. We hope you’re ready.
